I'm So Confused! But, I'm better now.

Live Journal is great sometimes, but at other times I feel like it has passed me by. I know that we all have legal names we use to gain employment, receive and use money and credit cards and other grown-up stuff.

Many of us have names we use in sacred space, a name we aspire to really deserve (sometimes, I will concede).

Now, on Live Journal we have even more names! WTF! I barely know everyone's legal name and/or sacred name. How the Hell am I, or anyone for that matter, supposed to keep in memory all of that stuff?

Memory! Ah Ha! I should put this stuff in my Palm Pilot! That way, if I see it often enough, perhaps I can memorized it. I just have to keep my Palm Pilot away from the Republicans. Aggghhhh.

I knew that if I implanted this message on LJ the answer would arrive. Thank you.

Oh No, Who's Ginkgo?

Hi Sweetie, welcome back! Good for you and your dissertation. By the time you finish it you will probably hate it, if you don't already. I am glad for you though, almost done!

Perhaps I can try a masculine approach to your idea: "hey stud, howya doin'? Maybe not.

I am serious about the Palm Pilot. If I listed legal names, craft names, LJ names, it might work out.

What are the uses/benefits/perils of ginkgo?

Ginkgo

Ginkgo has been actually shown to improve memory retention. You really should ask me, silly, since I've been working on the Botanical Module at work. Love you!

I guess that means that I didn't take my ginkgo this morning - I forgot. Are there any side-effects or other benefits/perils? Where can I acquire some? Love you, too!

Actually, I love the Palm Pilot idea. Braided Stream gave Lisa a Palm Pilot as a Third Degree gift after her ROP. It seemed an appropriate Third Degree tool----to help one organize all the administrative info and scheduling/contact information that's necessary to function well in this role. It's a great idea, and I think it will help keep track of all those names pretty well.

Beth is right. Ginkgo helps flush the brain with oxygen, a I understand it (I have to check) and it'sbeen shown to be as effective as some drugs for several groups of elders with cognitive degeneration problems. You can get it at any GNC or at any health food store. It's in the herbal supplement section.

Plug it into google and you should get a few links that tell you more about it.
